Jazz Band (Vancouver, BC).
This band is young, hot, and as
entertaining as they get. They started as high school friends and musicians.
They are now mature beyond their years.

Buck Creek Jazz Band (Springfield, VA)
This is their eighth year in a row – and
everyone is happy for it. There is nobody that represents this fine New Orleans
style jazz better than the Buck Creek JB. Their standard for musicianship is
unfailing. They play it right. They have fun and they are fun to be around.
What more can you say.

Bob Schulz’
Frisco Jazz Band (San Francisco, CA)
Bob and the gang are
one of everyone’s favorite bands. It is San Francisco style played as well
as it can be played. The band is blessed with several great voices; their
vocals are terrific. You might see a couple of guests sitting in with this
band. It is great to have Bob back.

Bryan Shaw’s
Hot Shots (Orange County, CA)
Last year, Bryan Shaw joined us as a guest artist
after being away from his music for a while. Bryan had fun and our
attendees had a ball. Every set Bryan sat in with was raised to another
level. So, we asked Bryan to “come back with a band”. And, he is. Just the
list of musicians will tell you what to expect. It is going to be “hot”
and tight – played the way you like it. This will be fun.

Grand Dominion Jazz
Band (Camano Island, WA)
This is one of
everyone’s favorite bands and here for the ninth year in a row. The Grand
Dominion sound has a “British flavor”; it is a REALLY hot band. This band is a favorite on the jazz cruises and
at other festivals. We are proud to have them in Port Angeles. Don't
Miss their "Jazz Gospel" set on Sunday morning.

| High Sierra Jazz Band
(Three Rivers, CA) Everyone is a High Sierra follower. It is a fun group to
follow. They are a high-energy bunch with great ensemble work and magnificent
solos. Pieter Meijers always brings a few smiles between tunes. This is their
ninth year in a row here. They are always welcome. Watch for their “Reeds A
Plenty” set on Saturday.

Holotradband (Seattle, WA)
This band
plays basically here in the Seattle area. You do not find them “on the
circuit” so to speak. But, for our attendees who have seen this band in
the last two years, the band is one of their favorites and is back by
request. This is a “no nonsense” band that plays the music right and hot.
We are proud to have the Holotradband back.
Members include: Dave Holo, cornet, vocals, leader; David Loomis,
trombone, vocals; Bruce Hall, clarinet, soprano sax; Mike Daugherty,

Louisiana
Joymakers Jazz Band (Vancouver, BC)
This is a New Orleans style band with British Columbia roots.
They are back for the third time and they bring a hot and solid musical
presentation. Dancers love them and their vocals are great. This band is
scheduled on Saturday and Sunday.

New Black
Eagle Jazz Band (Boston, MA)
There are few really great pleasures in life but having the New Black
Eagles back will be one of them. This band does not play on the West coast
very often. But, this festival is blessed; they like to come here and we are
privileged to have them. Few bands play OKOM with the authenticity, style and
flair that they do. Enjoy the New Black Eagles. They will also play in the
Afterglow.

Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band (Bellevue, WA)
Bert Barr’s group is a trad lovers dream.
They never confuse or play with the music. Their book is broad, they play
it right and they play it tight. This is their ninth year in a row here --
back by popular demand. And, what a fine group of musicians it is. Keep an eye on those two bass saxophones up front – they will amaze you.

Wolverine
Jazz Band (Boston, MA)
This band is twelve years young.
They typically frequent the musical hot
spots of Boston and New England. But, this year we will be privileged to
have theme here. You will hear mostly trad but may find a little “swing”
thrown in. They are musically wonderful and will fit in with all the
other fine musicians here. This is a hot band and you will like them.

Buchmann – special guest
Everybody
knows “Gentleman Jim” Buchmann. What a reed player; what a musician. When
Jim joins a band on stage, everyone’s energy rises. Whatever the tune or
the style of play, Jim plays within the band and adds a dimension of
excitement. This will be a treat for everyone. See the program for
